Margaret made people feel at home. She kept an open door, a full cookie tin, and a garden that seemed to bloom longer than anyone else’s. Born in Portland in 1948, she built a life around family, friendship, and the belief that ordinary days were worth celebrating.
She loved road trips without itineraries, handwritten birthday cards, and teaching her grandchildren the names of every flower in her garden. Her warmth lives on in the traditions she began and the many people who still tell her stories.
