Remember with kindness. Record with respect.

Be truthful, respectful, and mindful of living family members. Do not post harassment, private information, impersonation, spam, advertising, or images and writing you do not have permission to share.

Recording physical memorials

Only photograph places you can visit lawfully. Respect private property, park and cemetery rules, and the privacy of other visitors. Do not trespass or disturb mourners. Avoid including identifiable bystanders when possible.

Observe—do not alter

Tended Memory helps people record and preserve stories. Do not move, clean, repair, decorate, replace, or otherwise alter benches, plaques, markers, gravesites, or any memorial object. Never encourage unsafe or unauthorized access.

Accurate contributions

Record inscriptions faithfully and place map markers as accurately as possible. Physical memorial submissions are reviewed before publication. Family claims are reviewed manually and are never approved automatically.

Email safety@tendedmemory.com with the memorial link and choose: incorrect information, inaccurate location, duplicate memorial, privacy concern, impersonation, harassment, copyright issue, or other.
